We like to support farmers who care, and who promote pure breeds of plants suited to their environment, like Mr. Prasser and his family, who grow fantastic pumpkin seeds in an area that has been growing pumpkin seeds for generations, to biodynamic standards. They may be 'expensive', but just taste the difference ... Or Richard Gantlett of Yatesbury Organic Farm, next to the sacred site of Avebury, who uses biodynamic methods when growing spelt that has not been crossed with wheat.

We are currently using the following:

Demeter pumpkin seeds: Prasser Viktorhof, Kappel, Austria.

Kamut ®: Not yet available in Europe, organic Kamut is grown by Bob Quinn in Montana, USA.

Quinoa: Organically grown in Lahuachaca, Bolivia.

Rice: Eunature Demeter whole grain rice, grown for ABO in the Comune di Settimo, Piedmont, Italy.

Spelt: Frankencorn from Yatesbury Organic Farm, Wiltshire, UK. Some spelt species are crossed with common wheat (triticum aestivum) to enable farmers to use fertiliser to increase the yield. We do not use spelt breeds that have been crossed with common wheat.

Wheat: Bauck Hof Demeter whole grain wheat, blended from various farms in Germany.
